8p6-3D printing

Using tinker cad and a 3D printer, I created a guitar pick stand.

because I have never made one which gave me the idea to make a custom one.

During this process, I learned how to design a guitar pick holder.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor by using a search engine to find out exactly what the average sizes for guitar picks are so I could make the slots for them the right size.

A challenge I overcame on this project was just figuring out where to start on it. I was able to do it by just doing it and it soon came together.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change some of the parts on it. The reason why I would change this is because it would make it look more like a real guitar.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the  Engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Engineering, and Manufacturing.
