Student Association 2025-2026
The Executive Cabinet is made up of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Marketing Coordinators.
These students serve as the voice of the student body, are the student representatives on the Hastings College Board of Trustees, help the Student Association Programming Board to plan successful events, and preside over the Student Association Senate.
The President and Vice President are elected through campus-wide elections in the spring. The remaining Executive Cabinet positions join through an application and interview process with the newly elected President and Vice President.

The Student Association is requesting comments from students! Please fill out this form with ideas for events we could host on campus and comments on activities you have attended. Our Programming Board meets twice a month on Wednesdays at 12:00 PM. You may fill this out multiple times and no questions are required.
As the voice of the student body, the Student Association wants to hear from you! Please fill out this form with concerns or topics you would like us to discuss or bring awareness to. Our Senate meets twice a month on Thursdays at 7:30 PM. You may fill this out multiple times and no questions are required.
Duties & Responsibilities

President
Appoint SA Executive Cabinet members
Be an ex-officio member of all standing committees and subcommittees of SA
Serve as the student representative on the Hastings College Board of Trustees
Preside over all SA Executive Cabinet and Programming Board Meetings
Work with faculty and staff to create campus and community improvements
Work with the SA Programming Board to plan successful events
Be available and visible to the Hastings College student body
Vice President
Presides over the SA Senate as the SA Chairperson while preparing agendas and running Senate Meetings
Appoint all special SA Senate committees and shall be an ex-officio member of said committees
Execute the duties and powers of the SA President in their absence
Work with faculty and staff to create campus and community improvements
Work with the SA Programming Board to plan successful events
Be available and visible to the Hastings College student body
Secretary
Record accurate and informative minutes at Student Senate and Executive Council meetings
Ensure minutes are organized and timely distributed for SA members
Responsible for all official correspondence through the SA email and maintenance of digital files
Track attendance and hold members accountable to meeting requirements
Work with faculty and staff to create campus and community improvements
Work with the SA Programming Board to plan successful events
Treasurer
Maintain all financial records of SA funds during the academic year
Responsible for proposing an overall budget to be approved by Senate
Manages budget requests that are submitted by other student groups and ensure they are following the guidelines
Enforces allocation and funding guidelines and processes related to requests and reimbursements
Work with faculty and staff to create campus and community improvements
Work with the SA Programming Board to plan successful events
Parliamentarian
Ensure all meetings of the SA Senate are conducted according to Robert’s Rules of Order
Guarantee fair and orderly discussion during all SA meetings
Responsible for informing SA Senate members and the SA Senate Chairperson of proper procedure
Clarifying all points of procedure that may arise in meetings
Work with faculty and staff to create campus and community improvements
Work with the SA Programming Board to plan successful events
