Voice of the Student Body!
The Student Association (SA) represents the student population by enacting positive change on campus and planning activities and events to promote the academic, social, cultural, and spiritual life of the campus through their Executive Cabinet, Programming Board, and Senate.

Executive Cabinet
The Executive Cabinet is made up of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Parliamentarian. They serve as the voice of the student body, help lead the Student Association, and more!

Programming Board
The Programming Board is made up of three committees and 25 event coordinators. They plan, implement, and promote a variety of events and activities throughout the year, and more!

Student Senate
The Senate is made up of three divisions and 32 student senators. They discuss student concerns, work on campus improvement Project Proposals, help fund other student groups, and more!

The Student Association is requesting comments from students! Please fill out this form with ideas for events we could host on campus and comments on activities you have attended. Our Programming Board meets twice a month on Wednesdays at 12:00 PM. You may fill this out multiple times and no questions are required.
As the voice of the student body, the Student Association wants to hear from you! Please fill out this form with concerns or topics you would like us to discuss or bring awareness to. Our Senate meets twice a month on Thursdays at 7:30 PM. You may fill this out multiple times and no questions are required.

Communication
To provide communication and understanding between Hastings College students and administration
Experience and Opportunity
To promote and further the educational, spiritual, and cultural experiences and opportunities of Hastings College students by working to expand student participation and involvement
Coordination
To coordinate activities, communication, and services of general benefit to students
Protection of Rights and Freedoms
To protect the individual rights and freedoms of students
Responsible Student Conduct
To promote responsible student conduct in accordance with Hastings College policies and local, state, and federal laws
Official and Representative Government
To provide an official and representative student government with powers to receive student concerns, and participate in decisions affecting students

The President, Vice President and Senators are elected through campus-wide elections. The remaining Executive Cabinet positions and Programming Board members join through an application and interview process.
Apply for vacant positions!
We still have a few open positions on our Programming Board's three different committees. You will have until August 19th to turn in your application for Student Association. You cannot edit your responses after you submit the form. You can apply for more than one position!
Interviews with eligible candidates will take place with the student Vice President and President. They will be scheduled between August 15th-20th. Be on the lookout for an email to schedule your interview.
How to request funds from Senate:
All active student groups can request from the Student Association.
If your group needs to request funds, please fill out the Budget Request form below and email it to Student Association (sassociation@hastings.edu). Save the form as "YOURORGANIZATIONSNAME_Request". Please note the form is a template so save it as a copy and then edit. All budget requests are due at 7:30 pm one week before the next Senate meeting. If you send in a request after the deadline, you will have to present at the next meeting.
You must follow the rules for funding that are voted on each year by the Student Association.
