The TechShare Program at Perkins Library provides students with the opportunity to borrow a laptop or iPad on a short-term basis.  Whether your primary device is undergoing repairs or you need a temporary replacement, our program is here to help.  Designed to ensure uninterrupted access to technology, this service allows students to stay connected and complete their coursework without disruption.  Devices are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

To borrow a device, simply visit the library, complete the digital form, and follow the outlined terms and conditions.  The borrowing process is simple and straightforward, making it easy for you to get the equipment you need quickly, so you can focus on what matters most—your education.

Who can borrow a device?
All actively enrolled undergraduate and graduate students who will remain enrolled for the duration of their loan are eligible to borrow a device. 

When would borrowing a device be necessary?
Devices are intended as a temporary solution when your primary device is unavailable for any reason.   They can also be used to complete assignments if your primary device lacks the necessary software.

How do I borrow a device?
To borrow a device, visit the library to check availability.  A library staff member will guide you through the checkout process and assist with completing the borrower agreement form.  Devices are available for checkout Monday through Friday between 8a-5p on a first-come, first-served basis, or you can schedule a time with a library staff member to pick up a device outside of these hours.

How long can I borrow a device?
Devices can be borrowed for up to 14 days per block, with an option to renew for an additional 7 days if approved by a library staff member.  Renewal requests must be made before the original due date.  Each student is eligible to borrow a device once per block.

How do I return a device?
Devices must be returned to a library staff member Monday-Friday between 8a-5p.
