Project Grading & Expectations Help

Starting January of 2024 there have been a couple of revisions to the classroom rubric. I am working on getting this page updated, but for now a couple of the videos will be slightly out of date.

When is my work Graded?

If your project is turned in on time, the grade will post at the same time as everyone else in the class. I guarantee that all Late and Redo turned in before Sunday will be graded and recorded in Power School so that Monday's Grade pull during Advisory will be accurate.

How to check my own work

You should always look at your work in a guest window before turning it in. That way you can check your share settings and ensure you published your work before turning it in.

How to turn your project in

We will use Google Classroom to turn our work in. I will also use Google Classroom to give you feedback on your assignments. This will be done through the private comments section of your work. If you want your work regraded you will need to give me a private comment on what you have changed.

2. Able to see all attached documents on the public site

To make sure that the digital objects on your website are visible we are going to create a folder in Google Drive to place everything that is on our website. If I cannot see your work, then I cannot tell that you did the project.

4. Every Day that you work on your project you need to tell me what you did.

Day 1: Created List of 10 Good Ideas and answered the planning questions
Day 2: worked on ....

...
Last Day: finalized my reflection responses double checked my work by using a guest browser. Turned my project in through Google Classroom.

You need a daily log to earn a 60% or better on the project.

This should be done before you work on your project

You will make a list of 10 ideas of things you could build, create, or problems you could solve using the technology. Before Spring of 2022, we would make a list of 25 ideas, now it is 10 Good Ideas.

You need a list of 10 Good Idea's to earn a 60% or better on the project.

They can be written out in complete sentences or as answers under the questions. The choice is yours.

You need to have all of the parts for the 60%, 80%, and 100% to earn 100% on a project.

The teacher says they cannot see it or the changes you made: Publish your site.

Most likely this means you forgot to publish your site after you made the corrections. When someone visits your site they see what it looked like the last time you published it. From the edit screen you can make changes, but they will not be reflected until you press the publish button in the top right corner of the screen.
