Schedule an Appointment

Why to schedule an appointment

Schedule an appointment with the wellness center if you are feeling anxious, stressed, sad, or just feeling a little down. Some students might schedule a "tune up" appointment to check in and talk about their mental health before a busy sports season, college application window, or final exam schedule. You can also speak to one of our counselors if you are experiencing issues with friends, at home, or in your classes. Our counselors are trained to listen to you and guide you in resolving emotional, mental, and social concerns.

The reality is, we ALL struggle with mental health in different seasons of life.  Every. Single. One. Of. Us. Here at Hart District Wellness, we realize that every single one of us needs support.  We are here for you.  If you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious or dealing with something personal, we are here for you.

When to schedule an appointment

Schedule an appointment anytime

Adults can even schedule an appointment for wellness counselors to discreetly check in with their student after a difficult morning or week at home. For example, parents can let their wellness center know if their student might be struggling with a recent parental divorce or a fight at home before school. Wellness counselors are also equipped to help adults navigate locating community resources and working through health insurance questions.

How to schedule an appointment

What to expect at your appointment

Expect a private meeting with your school's wellness counselor or school social worker to confidentially discuss anything your need to talk about. Information you share in your appointment will not be shared with your teachers, parents or other students, unless you are planning to hurt yourself or someone else. These appointments are a safe space to share your concerns or struggles with an empathetic, caring, and trustworthy adult.
