In this unit we will examine how the lungs work with the cardiovascular system to facilitate gas exchange throughout the body. Make sure to complete the webquest first, as it will help provide you with a broad overview before we begin our discussion. We will examine the functions of the respiratory system, and how the body carries those functions out. An examination of the most common respiratory pathology encountered in a general medical office will follow, and we will conclude the unit with an assessment that combines both your knowledge of the respiratory and circulatory systems.
