VersAbility’s Future of Work initiative will support people with disabilities in completing certification/ apprenticeship programs to eliminate barriers to employment, expand job opportunities in high-demand industries, and create pathways out of poverty by earning real wages. To achieve these goals, we establish effective partnerships with key stakeholders in education, referral sources, and employers leading to the systematic inclusion of people with disabilities which are vital for scale and sustainability. A focus on young people transitioning to work after school will be coupled with retraining the long-term unemployed. Students must be on a standard diploma track, a senior, or a graduate. Certification will be completed as a part of the training.
