DS PROPS
-Props are kept in the supply closet on the back shelf. The expectation is that props stay organized by type; this makes them easier to find. Make sure to only use a prop if you have planned this in your script (no prop grabs!); and, that you return props to their location. Look at this picture for more information.
When watching a film or listening to an idea, the audience will be prepared with meaningful feedback. Here are the parameters:
Give a one-word/short-phrase answer about your biggest take away or the best aspect of the presentation. Always justify your answer (name the strong point and then give a reason why: "I liked the title of your film because it's relatable to a younger audience.")
Suggest something to add, change, or do more of to make the film or idea better. You can also ask a question for clarification. Remember to phrase your feedback in the positive (proactive), rather than the negative -- we're coaching each other! So, tell the presenter what they should do, not what you think they did wrong: "Try to keep your head up and face the camera so your voice is projected."
In DS, we are aware, respectful, responsible, and safe. Read the DS rules, here.
When we film, we use "DS Demeanor." Read about those guidelines here.
We have consequences in DS, as well. Read about in-class and technology violations, here.
