I cannot believe that we are already in the month of November. The days are long but the months are flying by! How's it going? How do you feel about the progress your students have made up to this point? What areas do you need to focus on and how can we continue to move them along? I appreciate the hard work you have done and will continue to do. There are lots of things coming up and lots of time that could be wasted if we aren't careful. Remember to keep the main thing the main thing and let's be accountable for each minute! ⏰ Our students deserve it!
Reach out if I can assist you in any way. Thank you for all you do! 🫶
Vital behavior #6: "When I teach a lesson, I use discourse strategies requiring all students to participate in student-to-student academic talk."

Book Creator has rolled out some new features that make creating and editing even easier for students AND give teachers more control over the learning experience!
✨ NEW Floating Text Editing Toolbar
No more clicking the little i button to make text changes! Students can now edit and format text directly using the new floating toolbar.
🎯 Customize the Toolbar for Your Students!
Here's where it gets even better! Teachers can now customize which text editing tools students can access through Library Settings. Simply turn tools on or off based on the learning task!
Think about the instructional possibilities! You can reduce distractions, provide scaffolds, and differentiate the tools available to students based on their needs and learning goals.
🔎 NEW Zoom on Edit Feature
Students can now zoom in while editing, making it easier to focus on the details of their work!

I had the opportunity to attend an amazing ESOL professional development session provided by the county this week, and I’m so excited to share some of the discourse strategies we practiced!
If you’re interested in incorporating discourse strategies into a specific lesson, please reach out! I’d love to plan alongside you and brainstorm strategies we can implement to support student engagement, academic language, and meaningful classroom conversations. :)
