Reminders
All student are expected to wear their ID badges . Students who need a replacement ID badge may purchase one for $5 in the Media Center.
All students are expected to arrive on time to each class. Now that students are familiar with their schedules and classrooms, tardy accountability measures are in place.
Students are welcomed into the building beginning at 7:30 each morning. Until this time, the exterior doors are locked. Please plan accordingly if you are a car rider in the mornings.
Car riders should only be picked up at the front of the school in the afternoons. Please do not enter any other parking lots to pick up students.
Students are encouraged to bring in new socks, gloves, and hats. Donations will be turned in to first period teachers and will be collected each Friday by an IB student.
Classroom Corner
AP Biology
AP Biology/STEM Freshmen in Mrs. Hartfield's class completed an activity this week related to surface tension. They used water and then three different solutions to see what would happen to the number of drops of water they could get to stay on a penny.
IB Seniors
This week, the IB Full Diploma seniors had a work day with Mrs. Barrett and Mrs. Murphy to complete their 4,000 word extended essays. The extended essay is an independent, self-directed piece of research, finishing with a 4,000-word paper. One component of the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) core, the extended essay is mandatory for all full diploma students.
