A substantial amount of work was put into this year’s Homecoming Dance and Game, thanks to the efforts of the student council and other volunteers, making it an exciting and memorable experience. Friday, September 29th’s football game unfortunately did not end victoriously; however the Homecoming spirit was alive during the football game, making it a delightful experience, even if a win was not brought home.
The Homecoming Dance was an enjoyable experience for many of the students here at HHS, with appetizing food and snacks, professional pictures, stellar music, and spectacular decor. According to high school senior Samson Burke, “Homecoming was extremely fun, and [he] enjoyed going nuts on the dance floor.” The Homecoming DJ composed an impressive playlist of songs that livened up the party and encouraged many people to enjoy themselves on the dance floor. The amount of work put into decorating for homecoming truly helped to elevate the atmosphere and school spirit. The homecoming court this year included a large variety of seniors, specifically Mason Baptiste, Samson Burke, Ella Chase, Thomas D’Olivo, Ethan Freedley, Kiara Koeller, Fenrir Lewin, Leah St. Genis, Sandro Suliashvili and Maribella Wilson. There were many predicted prospects for Homecoming royalty, and in the end the winners were Thomas D’Olivo and Kiara Koeller. This year’s Homecoming was fantastic, and a great start to the proceeding school events within the upcoming months.
