Every year at HACC, our administrative, professional and classified staff participate in the annual performance review process. The performance evaluation is an effective tool that can be utilized to promote employee growth and success, formally address performance concerns, identify training opportunities and recognize contributions employees have made to the College.
This year the evaluation process includes minor enhancements within the PageUp System. Training and additional resources are located on the myHACC portal under the Human Resources tab, under the Employee Relations tab. As a reminder:
The current 2021 Performance Review action items began in January 2022 and will end in June 2022.
Each review period runs from February 1 – January 31.
A formal remediation plan should be implemented for any competency that receives a rating of “Does Not Meet Expectations.” The Employee Relations Department should be contacted immediately for any performance concerns.
Any employee participating in the performance review process is required to establish future goals in conjunction with their supervisor and will provide annual updates in the PageUp system.

The Employee Recognition Committee is excited to announce.… THE 2022 PRESIDENT’S AWARD!
The nomination window for the President’s Award will begin March 1-31 2022. The President’s Award is designed to recognize administrative staff and classified personnel whose contributions to the College and represent exceptional performance above and beyond what is expected. Nominations may be submitted, by any member of the College community, for those colleagues who have demonstrated one (or more) of the following criteria:
Advancement of Academic Excellence
Fostering Student Success
Strengthening Institutional Sustainability
Instilling Inclusivity
Nomination Process:
Between March 1 and March 31 of each year, nominations for the President’s Award may be submitted to the Office of Human Resources through the electronic nomination system, accessible through the College’s internal portal.
Nominations may be submitted by any member of the College community on behalf of a colleague and/or self-nomination. Teams consisting of no more than five (5) members may be nominated for consideration.
Submitted nominations, along with feedback provided by the President's Cabinet, will be reviewed by the Employee Recognition Committee at the April committee meeting. The Employee Recognition Committee will be tasked with providing award recipient recommendations to the President no later than April 20 of each year.
Nominations will be disqualified from consideration as a result of any one of the following:
Nominee has received the award within the past five (5) years;
Nominee has received corrective action or remediation within the year preceding the nomination;
Nominee is the subject of a current investigation in which a College policy or procedure has been violated.
The recommended award recipients will be submitted to the President for award selection. No more than five (5) nominations will be selected for an award within a calendar year.
Employee Recognition Committee (ERC): A joint committee composed of members of the APO, CEO, and faculty that meet on a monthly basis to discuss employee recognition initiatives, plan and execute recognition events, and review employee recognition programs and trends.
Please include as much detail as possible to help with the selection process. Nominations must be submitted electronically via myHACC at the following location: myHACC>Human Resources>Employee Relations>President’s Award Nomination Portal. The deadline for nominations is March 30, 2021.
