In addition to mental and physical wellness, this time of year brings to mind financial wellness. To protect against identity theft, erroneous data, or outdated information, start the new year with these steps:
Check your credit history. Used for everything from loans to apartments to employment, there are private companies, but the official free government site is AnnualCreditReport.com, or call 877-322-8228.
Check your banking history. To review your history with checking and savings accounts, log onto ChexSystems or call 800-428-9623.
Review your Consumer Disclosure Report, which includes real estate transaction and ownership data, lien, judgment, and bankruptcy records, professional license information, and historical addresses with LexisNexis or call 866-312-8076.
Verify your insurance claims history at Verisk or call 800-627-3487.

Verify your recent health and life insurance application history with MIB or call 1-866-692-6901.
Ensure you’re the only one accessing your Social Security benefits.
Google yourself, and determine how much of your life you want online. One at a time, ask data brokers like WhitePages to remove your information. Also consider setting your social media accounts to private.
Stay safe, and protect your future self.
The facilities department proudly welcomes Susan Hoff, Calvin Hynson and Charles Levy, Jr. as they have accepted the custodial manager positions for the College. Susan Hoff returns to HACC, working previously as a custodian at the Gettysburg Campus several years ago. Most recently, Susan worked for the Gettysburg School District where she was the lead custodian at Gettysburg High School and supervised 11 team members, and then moved to Lincoln Elementary as the head custodian. Susan will serve as the custodial manager for the York and Gettysburg campuses.
Calvin Hynson has joined the facilities team as the custodial manager for the Lancaster and Lebanon campuses. He is coming to us from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) where he was the supervisor of the custodians. Prior to Calvin working at the PLCB, he was the assistant director of housekeeping at the Claridge Hotel and Casino and the assistant manager at Harrah’s Resort, both in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He also was the housekeeping manager at the Colonial Park Mall. He is a veteran of the United States Army. He lives in Harrisburg with his family.
Charles Levy, Jr., has been an employee with HACC on the Harrisburg Campus for the last 19 years in the facilities department as lead custodian. He has accepted the position of custodial manager for the Harrisburg Campus and Midtown locations. He is excited to start in his new role.
The facilities department also welcomes Ivelisse Soto-Echevarria who started her custodial position in December 2021 and is currently cleaning the second floor of Cooper. Jody Coleman also started her custodial position in December 2021 and is currently cleaning the second floor of Select Medical. Kia Enos started her custodian position in January of this year and is currently cleaning the second floor of Blocker Hall. Abidailys Pagan also started her custodial position in January of this year and is currently cleaning both the first and second east wing floors of Whitaker Hall. They all bring years of cleaning experience and are excited to begin their careers at HACC.
John Albright has received the American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE) Backflow Preventer Assembly Testers Certification. This past January, John received the required training and passed the test to receive the certification.
This certification allows John to complete the annual backflow inspections at all our campuses. In the past, the College would have to spend thousands of dollars annually with an outside contractor to perform the inspections. We are grateful for John’s initiative, dedication and willingness to put in the extra time to obtain the certification and to serve the HACC mission.
John began employment at HACC on January 4, 2021. He came to us as a military veteran and brought with him more than two decades of HVAC experience. John has had an immediate positive impact on our HVAC Department and has helped the facilities teams gain ground on our preventive maintenance tasks as well as troubleshooting and repairing our aging equipment.
