Dear Cornelia Cub Families,
We are thrilled to welcome you to a brand-new school year! Our theme this year is “Better Together,” and we truly believe in the power of community, collaboration, and connection.
At Cornelia, we are proud to be a Leader in Me school, where we integrate the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into everything we do. Each month, we will focus on one habit to help our students grow as confident, capable leaders of their own lives and futures.
We believe that every student is capable of learning and achieving success. Our goal is to create a fun, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where students work together to reach their academic and social-emotional goals.
We also believe that strong partnerships with families lead to the best outcomes for our students. We invite you to take an active role in your child’s learning journey — your involvement makes a big difference.
Together, we can help our Cubs LEARN, LEAD, and SUCCEED!
Sincerely,
Carrie Trotter

Welcome Back, Cornelia Cubs!
I am so excited to see all of our Cubs back in the building for another amazing school year! As your school counselor, I am here to support students as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether it's making new friends, managing big feelings, or navigating school challenges, I am here to help every step of the way.
Throughout the year, I will be visiting classrooms, meeting with students one-on-one, and offering small groups to build skills and confidence. I am also available for consultations or parent meetings if there is something you would like to discuss with me or if your family is in need of support. Parents and guardians—feel free to reach out anytime with questions or concerns. Let's make it a great year together!
Resources
There are lots of resources in our community to help families in need. On the first Saturday of every month, the First Presbyterian Church will be doing a food give away in the Cornelia Elementary School parking lot from 8:00 am until supplies last. The Torch Food Pantry located at 236 Level Grove Road, Cornelia is open Mondays and Saturdays from 10:00 am-12:00 pm and Wednesdays from 5:00-7:00 pm.
At school, we often have access to food, jackets, and counseling resources your student may need. You can reach out to me, Emily Morris, at 706-778-6526 ext. 1311 or emorris@habershamschools.com if your child is in need.
Help us raise money for our school by simply scanning your Ingles Advantage Card.
HOW?
Just use the link (connected to the picture) and enter your Ingles card information!
Each time you shop at Ingles, you earn our school money to spend on supplies for our students.
Did you have your card linked before? It must be linked each school year.
