TIME TO FOCUS ON THE SDA
SDA Plan:
mini-series introducing past artworks that can be continued throughout the year as I make more and more pieces
Goal: Increase online prescense. Although I just started, I feel like the quality of my videos can get a lot better.
Food for thought: You may not be the best at X, but you could be the best at whatever results from combining X, Y, and Z
^The above is how I see my account. I can better stand out by not just being good at X (in my case, "X" is art), but also Y and Z. Y could be storytelling and Z could be cinematic looking videos.
have a strong intro to use (many successful instagram accounts use series/episodes)
inspiration: @namanhkapur (cinematic style videos telling stories about his upbringing)
use adobe to edit
UPDATE: I recently discovered that all art students at our highschool have free access to the entire adobe suite (from photoshop, to after effects, and especially premiere pro)
Learning new softwares, especially such technical ones is going to be a bit of a difficult transition. Yet, I know it's going to pay off in the long run to learn things NOW and implement new things NOW rather than sticking to the mediocre apps that I'm more used to. Adobe has a wider range of capabilities that I look forward to exploring.
To get myself prepared I watched the following video: https://youtu.be/xDq3ij-oHJA?si=uuAWbqYLJE5AyLo3 (it is an hour long, and I only got through 30 minutes, but I plan on finishing it up soon)
Next-Up:
I've put the mural work a bit on pause and contacted the business owner to see if it would be possible to align the mural work more with Thanskgiving break, so we are amidst that discussion
For the next journal, I hope to post a video practicing using Adobe Premiere Pro AND start storyboarding my scripts for the SDA series
