Although it has taken way longer than I thought it would (as per usual...), I think I've made solid progress on the hoodie and jeans. I have, since my last update, heat-set the clothing AND thrown them in the wash. They turned out great (thank goodness)! Below, I've listed all the statistics used on the jeans, the meaning behind them, and the article I sourced. While I acknowledge the video part is extremely late, I do think that the clothing set itself was a solid amount of work, so I am not blaming myself for not having enough time to get both done by the deadline. That's not to say, however, that I've given up on the video. Attached below is a proposed storyboard outlining the video's structure. I want to focus on high emotional impact rather than statistics, but I am considering (of course, granted time constraints) making another video focusing on the pants themselves and what all the numbers mean. However, I'm going to be a bit more realistic with myself and how much I have on my plate as of right now, and amend that idea to just having an instagram post where I have pictures of the clothing set and, in the caption, detail all the numbers and their significance (almost a copy and paste of what you see below). Going forward, I am going to continue fusing advocacy into art and have that be my new focus.
