To apply, click on the Cal State Apply link above. There is one application for all 23 campuses.
The Cal State application opens on October 1st, 2025, and is due by December 1, 2025.
Cost: $70 per campus
Fee waivers are built into the application- covers up to 4 campus application fees.

Cal State San Marcos Guaranteed Admission
GUHSD has an established agreement with Cal State San Marcos that students who meet the following requirements will be offered guaranteed admission!
Be continually enrolled in GUHSD since 9th grade (exceptions for foster youth, homeless, and military dependents).
Complete all "A-G" coursework with a C or better.
Achieve a 3.0 cumulative weighted GPA upon graduation.
Pass the Early Assessment program in math and English (aim for "standard met" in both areas on the CAASPP test in 11th grade).
Submit the FAFSA or CADAA financial aid application in their senior year.
