On the left, you will find the subject requirements to earn a diploma at Valhalla.
Each semester=5 credits and students must pass with a D or better.
In addition to the specific subject requirements, students must earn a minimum of 220 credits.
Freshmen and sophomores must take six classes and if students are on track to graduate, they have the option of taking five classes their junior and senior years.
If a student has the goal of attending a 4-year college/university directly after high school, they should also aim to complete the UC/CSU "a-g" requirements.
In order to obtain Honor Grad status, students must achieve a 3.5+ cumulative GPA and complete all "a-g" requirements.
The GPA calculation used is a cumulative weighted GPA that is taken after first semester grades are issued in a student's senior year. Honor grads will be recognized at graduation with a cord.
Students who complete all "a-g" requirements will earn a medallion to be worn with their cap and gown at graduation.
Math Requirement
Class of 2022 & beyond (Integrated Math Sequence) - Thirty (30) units of math are required and any math course counts toward the unit requirement. However, one or a combination of these courses must meet or exceed the rigor of the content standards of Integrated Mathematics II or transfer equivalent.
