A Changing Season
What a remarkable fall we are having. It is my hope that each and every one of you was able to take advantage of the beautiful Thanksgiving weekend. Now that we have had a month of school it feels as if we have settled into a regular routine. With six volleyball teams, there seem to be games every night at CSS. If you are around, pop in, and cheer on one of our teams! It was great to see so many parents turn out for Parent/Teacher Conferences last night. If you couldn't make it, but would still like to speak with a teacher, be sure to reach out. PowerSchool is a good place to check marks but it is not the same as direct communication, especially if you have concerns. Enjoy the amazing weather and fall colours while they last!
Sincerely,
Dan Lake

WHAT'S HAPPENING AROUND CSS!!!
A huge thank you to Riley Debbink in Grade 8 who helped decorate our library for Truth and Reconciliation week. He recreated the Indigenous artwork shown in the background. We are so proud of the amazing talents Riley has!
Many of our Grade 11 and Grade 12 students attended the Alberta Education Association of Alberta’s post-secondary event at Thorsby High School. It was an amazing event with over 30 presenters from all sorts of post-secondary institutions and trades programs. The Armed Forces were there as well as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police recruitment units. It was so exciting to watch the students planning out the next phase of their lives! (Speaking of which, Grade 12 students - NOW is the time to start applying for post-secondary institutions.)
Board Games Option is a HUGE hit with all! 😁
