Prehistory, also known as pre-literary history was the epoch of first human development on Earth.

It was also the time when man discovered many new things just like fire, made use of stones for making tools for various activities like hunting, domestication of animals and also used tree’s bark & skin of animal for writing various manuscripts. Pre-history also marked as the period when no specific written material is available and whatever is available is based on the evidences recovered. Early humans used their free time in their advancement. This aeon is characterized by portable art and monumental architecture.

The two-age system of prehistory is divided into Stone Age and Chalcolithic Age.

Stone Age

Palaeolithic Age or Old Stone Age begins with the first use of stone tools. It is the earliest period of the Stone Age.

The Mesolithic or Middle Stone Age was a period in the advancement of humanoid technology between the Palaeolithic and Neolithic phases of the Stone Age.

Neolithic means New Stone Age. A number of changes took place in this Age.

Chalcolithic Age

The "Chalcolithic", "Eneolithic", or "Copper-Stone Age" refers to a transitional period where early copper metallurgy appeared alongside the widespread use of stone tools. The Bronze Age is the earliest period in which certain civilizations have reached the end of prehistory, by introducing written records called manuscripts.

The term Bronze Age refers to a period in human cultural progress when the most advanced form of metallurgy took place that included techniques for smelting copper and tin from naturally occurring outcroppings of ores, and then combining them to make bronze.
