Thaaragai Arathana - THE 8 YEAR OLD HERO

Oceans now a-days contain a ton of plastic; however, no one is bothered to help clean the ocean. Thaaragai Arathana, an 8 year old scuba diver, is a child hero, who volunteered to remove 600Kg Plastic garbage from the ocean. Thaaragai is from Karappam, Chennai, and always had an amazing bond with the ocean. Her father, who is also a scuba diving instructor and expert, had always encouraged her to explore and learn more about the underwater wonders. Other than removing ocean waste, both of them also contributed by removing waste from beaches. I think everyone should learn from Thaaragai, at such a young age, she has more care about the ocean than us. We should all contribute to cleaning marine bodies. Thaaragai’s story has inspired many more to do the same. It is a huge step towards cleaning our oceans.
