Information for 9th graders:
Freshman Year Checklist/Timeline:
Fall (August - December)
Freshman Orientation
Focus on getting off to a good start academically.
Counselor IGP meetings with 9th graders.
Develop effective study skills and utilize test-taking tips.
Become involved in extracurricular activities, such as clubs and sports, and/or volunteer activities in the community.
1st semester ends: Remember, all grades count! Everything goes on your transcript and is counted into your GPA!
Spring Semester (January - June)
Tour & Apply to special programs: CTE Innovation Center, Donaldson Career Center, Fine Arts Center.
Be on the lookout for Bridges to a Brighter Future information.
May: AP testing
Graduation requirements
Students must earn a total of 24 units of credit in order to graduate. Beginning with the graduating class of 2027, requirements will now include a half credit (.5) of personal finance.
