Schools should not let Chrome (or FireFox) automatically remember your PS/PT password. Since we are moving to a “single” sign on, when users are required to change their network/email password every 120 days, users will not be able to login to PS/PT if the password is saved in the browser.
If you need to see a list of your saved passwords in Chrome and “turn off” the saved password for the PowerSchool/PowerTeacher URL, follow these directions:
1. In the upper right corner of your window, click the Chrome menu .
2. Choose Settings.
3. At the bottom of the page, click Show advanced settings.
4. Under "Passwords and forms," click Manage passwords. A dialog will appear with a list of saved passwords.
5. In the dialog that opens, the "Saved passwords" section shows all of your saved passwords.
6. You should delete saved password for the PowerSchool web address listed.
Difficulty Entering Addresses in PS and Saving your PS Password
Some users are having difficulty with PS pausing for a long time when trying to enter student addresses. This is because Autofill on your browser is trying to search for possible matches. Autofill needs to be turned off in Chrome.
1. Click line of dots on right-hand side of browser.
2. Click on Settings
3. Scroll to the bottom and click on Advanced.
4. Scroll down to the Passwords and forms heading, and click Autofill settings.
5. Slide the blue button to the left to turn autofill off.
6. Click the left hand arrow to go back to the Passwords and Forms heading
