Printer Information
Printers are not to be moved unless approved by Sharp. If a printer moves, we will need to rename that printer remotely. We need printer IP (run a status page) and the new room number. The printer must be plugged into a working port and powered on

Find Me Printing
ETS is now prepared to support the use of "Find Me Printing" services at District locations. Find Me Printing allows staff to print to a queue instead of to one particular copier. The job is then held in the queue until the user releases the job by logging into the copier of their choice.
If you are interested in learning more about Find Me Printing, place a call with the ETS Help Desk to have someone contact you to discuss in greater detail.
Google Cloud Printing Available
ETS is now prepared to support the use of Google cloud printing services at District locations. Google cloud printing allows printing from Chromebook devices which can be beneficial but there are some points that should be considered before implementing.
Unlike traditional PC printing, students will see all printers shared to them within your location.
Unlike traditional PC printing where students typically only print in the rooms that they are located, Google cloud printing allows students to print to any printer at your location that has been shared to them, from any device with a chrome browser, at any time, even from home. However, Google cloud printing can be tracked via Papercut software so any “rogue” printing can be traced back to the user who sent the print job.
Before Google cloud printing is setup at your location it is imperative that your Principal understand the issues mentioned above. If you are interested in learning more about Google cloud printing, place a call with the ETS Help Desk to have someone contact you to discuss in greater detail.
If you need information regarding printers or copiers, please contact ETS Help Desk 355-4357
If you need an additional printer because of new classroom need, please submit a Help Desk ticket
Moving Printers
Moving printers is not recommended, but if you must, you need to let ETS and Sharp know about the move.
ETS will need a ticket to rename the printer for the new room.
The ticket needs to contain the IP address from a status page printed while the printer is connected to our network.
Sharp will need the G or K number on the tag from the printer.
Toner Requests
It has been reported that some locations are requesting large quantities of spare toner to be used in case of an outage. Per the contract, Sharp is only required to provide minimum levels of toner stock to District locations. 1 toner cartridge per copier, and 1-3 toners for the entire printer fleet at a location.
Some points to consider that may alleviate toner stocking concerns:
Toner is shipped overnight as long as order received by 2PM
Classroom printers (even with starter toner) will last almost 12 months based on the average usage in the district
Users will get warnings that ~20% is left in the toner bottle (this could last a while based on usage)
