Welcome to 2nd Grade and Mrs. Poynter’s Problem Solvers! I am thrilled to be your teacher this year! This will be my 12th year teaching. I taught 2nd grade for 7 years, kindergarten for 4 years, and now am back to the wonderful world of 2nd grade! 

I was born and raised in Greenville, and I am a product of Greenville County Schools. I love teaching in the district in which I grew up! I have a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education and a M.Ed. degree in Literacy from Clemson University. Go Tigers!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Auston, our two wonderful kiddos, and our rambunctious pup, Pippa. We love playing outside, reading books, and hanging out with our big families! I look forward to forming a partnership with your family, and I know we will have an amazing year together!
