In the February issue of The Scroll, we asked Scroll readers if they have a valentine, to identify red flags and green flags in people they would date, and the best/worst gift they had ever received on Valentine's day. Now it's time to see the results.
This poll consists of data from 24 participants who answered our January Poll, and data from those who answered our Instagram Poll.
The majority of our participants had a valentine for Valentine's Day. The majority of those who participated in our Instagram poll agreed, but we had more people on the Instagram poll who wanted to have a valentine than those who answered the poll we did on The Scroll .
We asked Scroll readers: what are the biggest green flags (good qualities) in someone they would date? We had a wide range of answers from both The Scroll poll and the Instagram poll. Some answers of note identified the green flags of being kind, respectful, chivalrous, mature, good hygiene, Christian, and loyal.
We asked Scroll readers: what are the biggest red flags (bad qualities) in someone they would date? Many of the answers were the opposite of the green flags previously stated. Many of our answers included: unloyal, dishonest, rude, does drugs, self-centered, gaslights you, pessimistic, and no ambition.
We asked Scroll readers: what are the best gifts that they have received on Valentine's Day? Some of the best gifts that our readers have gotten are chocolate, stuffed animals, makeup, handwritten letters, quality time, Hot Wheels, and roses/flowers.
We asked Scroll readers: what are the worst gifts that they have received on Valentine's Day? Some of the worst gifts that our readers have gotten are dryer lint, a crayon, a black rose, a break-up note, a cheap card, a dog toy, and moldy chocolate. I will admit some of the Valentine's gifts are terrible. What do you think?
