College English
Students are required to meet the admission requirements of the sponsoring community college or university, pay all college tuitions, fees, and purchase textbooks. Part of the student admission requirement is to take and meet the TSI test or be exempt based on qualifying scores on the TAKS, EOC, ACT or SAT tests. Students will receive college credit and high school credit for satisfactory performance in the course. It is ultimately the responsibility of the students to meet all deadlines for the admission process in order to schedule students into the appropriate classes.

This course provides students an opportunity to learn public speaking skills. Overcoming fear of audience, reading/ listening skills, speech preparation, and techniques in delivery are important units. Logic, rhetoric, and arguments are emphasized.
