A WORD TO STUDENTS & PARENTS
Dear Students and Parents:
Graham Independent School District is committed to focus on the future by empowering students to think creatively and critically while learning in engaging, innovative and inspiring environments. At GHS we are committed to help your student be ready for college, ready for a career, and ready for personal success. We feel that our students have the potential to make a huge impact on our future and we recognize the joint effort necessary for that success.
This Curriculum Guide has been prepared to give you a clear, concise catalog from which to choose courses and a career concentration. We ask students and parents to consider seriously all courses, to select a graduation plan that reflects the student’s interest, and to follow that plan as clearly as possible with the help of our counseling, teaching, and administrative staffs.
We at Graham High School are here to help students maximize their education experiences. We encourage students to take challenging courses and to try courses from various fields of study. The end result, hopefully, is a well-educated, well-rounded student who has lifetime skills for real world problems.
The education of a child is a partnership between home and school. We hope parents will take the time to become involved in all aspects of school life by visiting school, attending school meetings, and knowing our staff. We encourage parents to seek advice in establishing the correct areas of study for their child and to learn school policies and state graduation requirements. We want parents to be involved in helping us educate their student. Together, we can make a difference.
Sincerely,
Joe Gordy
Principal, Graham High School
