Rebecca Foster, BSN, RN - Robbinsville Elementary School
Nurse Becky is the primary nurse for Robbinsville Elementary School. She joined the GCS team in March of 2024, and she is enjoying getting to know the community. She loves working with the students and all of the staff at RES. She's even said that this is her dream job. Talking to the kids and teaching them about their health is a big part of her day. Seeing the kids grow throughout the school year brings her joy.
Becky grew up in Illinois and Oklahoma. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. She began her career in the burn unit at Children's Hospital of Oklahoma. Over the past 40 years her nursing experience has been primarily in pediatrics. Most recently she worked in the operating room at the Monroe Carell Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN.
Becky lives on the side of a mountain near Murphy, NC. Her son Blake and his wife live in Brooklyn, NY; her daughter Emily lives in Nashville. She loves visiting both places. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, seeing live music, hanging out with her Chihuahua Maggie, planting flowers, and reading.
