Class Program
The class program provides 5 levels of Mandarin classes. The syllabus for each level is reviewed on an annual basis supervised by the Academic Department so that the contents taught are relevant to the needs of learners. The Research and Development Department will then renew and compile the syllabus into our textbooks. YES, we have our own textbooks!
Our registration opens Once/Semester to all UTM Johor Bahru students, usually a total of 8 lessons per semester and 1 hour 30 minutes per lesson (Please refer to our Timetable for more details). Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any inquiries.
The venue for our lessons are often at FKM C25, from 8PM to 9.30PM*
All learning materials including textbook, activities and event entries will be entitled to the students upon registration of the program.*
Class Program
Level 1 course is a must for beginners. The curriculum gives emphasis on the unique pinyin system of Mandarin language.
Pronunciation and Listening is our main focus in this course while Writing and Reading will also be taught in the class.
Students graduated from the class will know how to recognize Mandarin characters from pinyin and are able to converse in basic Mandarin.
Level 2 course is recommended for learners who already have basics in Mandarin language. In this course, students will be taught advanced grammar and phrases that are often used in daily life. Lessons in Level 1 will be useful in this level. Students are also able to enhance their speaking skills.
Level 3 course focuses on reading passages and simple essay techniques. Students will be able to recognize more Mandarin characters and their usage. This is to prepare students before learning essay writing at Level 4 and 5.
Level 4 course requires a well understanding of Mandarin grammars and sentences building. Students who graduated from this course will be able to construct and comprehend more complicated Mandarin sentences.
Level 5 course is the final and most advanced course that we provide for our Mandarin class. This course will introduce students to various Mandarin conjunctions and guide students to write complete Mandarin sentences. They will also be assigned to write a short essay before they complete this course.
EASY LEARN MANDARIN and Wachive
For Wachive, this program is named after the combination of Watch and Achive. We will select some interesting short clips from your favourite Chinese dramas and learn their famous lines.
EASY LEARN MANDARIN is a program where we will post trending Mandarin words or useful Mandarin phrases with pinyin and explanations.
Besides, we also have two ongoing learning Mandarin program which are EASY LEARN MANDARIN and Wachive. Our focus is to teach Mandarin using interesting approaches so that we can keep our students engaged and learn Mandarin easily and effectively.
We will constantly upload our programs on Instagram. Through EASY LEARN MANDARIN and Wachive, students can learn and enhance their speaking skill using Mandarin. Look out for our posts on Instagram, perhaps you may find your favourite idols on the short clips. So stay tuned!
