Who We Are

We were founded 25 years ago as a member in the  Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Evangelical comes from the Greek word, euangelion, which means the "good news" or "the gospel." We trust the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe. We don't believe we have all of the answers and don't even know all of the questions. But, we believe that, over time, God continues to reveal God-self to us in Word and Sacrament, through each other, and through all of creation.

We're located in the heart of horse country in north Oldham County, a suburb of the Louisville metro area. We are a friendly, welcoming, family-sized church where everyone is invited to be involved, to learn and grow together, to disagree at times, to recognize and acknowledge when we've made mistakes, to live as authentically as we are called to do as God's beloved people planted in this part of the world.

We're also a generous people. This comes from our belief that our salvation is a gracious gift of God, unearned. So, in response to this amazing grace of God, we take seriously the command of Jesus to love our neighbor. We do this by, first, loving each other in our small community, then by loving our world, especially those who are often forgotten or unloved. We do this through our many different ministries.
