Bread of Life Food Pantry

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." --John 6.35

Oldham County is the richest county in all of Kentucky and, yet, there are people in our own back yards who go hungry every day. There are nearly 7,000 people in our county who are food insecure.  Kentucky has the 8th highest rate of food security across the country. Even though Oldham County has the lowest rate of food insecurity in the Commonwealth, we are surrounded by several counties who rank high on the list.

This should not be. That's why we have partnered with Dare to Care, Kentucky Harvest, and local retailers and farmers to end hunger in our community. Each month at Bread of Life Food Pantry, we serve 800-1,000 people.

How to get food

Bread of Life Food Pantry is currently open two days a week: Tuesdays from 1-4p and Wednesdays from 10a-2p. Schedule a shopping appointment online, email or call at 502.228.0650. We're located at 11952 W Hwy 42 in Goshen.

How to volunteer

There is a lot of work involved in operating a food pantry - it takes a lot of willing helpers! We need volunteers to help stock and re-stock shelves, distribute food, collect donations, and a variety of other tasks. If you're interested in volunteering, please complete and submit a volunteer application here. Once you do, we'll be in touch! And if, for some reason, you don't hear from us, give us a call at 502.228.0650.

How to donate

Donations of non-perishable foods and monetary gifts are always welcome. We have a bin available 24/7 for donations of non-perishable food. You can also give an online monetary gift or send a donation to Grace & Glory, 11952 W Hwy 42, Goshen, KY 40026. Or call us at 502.228.0650 to arrange a food delivery, to organize a food drive, or for other ways to help.

One last note: We do NOT accept gently used clothing or household items. Unfortunately, we just don't have the space!
