Volumes KCS

The purpose of this project is to apply Integral Calculus formulas to compute volumes of different solids, provided these objects can be considered solids with a known cross section. Given an area defined by graphs of functions, as the base of these solids, the volume will be generated by cross sections that will be regular shapes like squares, rectangles, triangles or semicircles. Students will apply the learned Integration techniques and formulas to determine the volume of these solids. Students will also create a poster that will include the calculations done, the volume obtained and a 3D model of the solid. It is expected students be artistic and creative in the design of these poster.
