Bridges Project

The Warren Truss Bridge

The objective of this activity is design and build a truss bridge using equilateral or isosceles triangles. Students design a Warren truss bridge and use the design as a pattern to build the trusses, using wood dowels, square gussets cut from craft sticks, and carpenter’s glue. The bridge was built joining those trusses with wood dowels. Students include in a poster the design, its characteristics, and pictures of model created.
