Bottle cap with small hole and string running through can be used as an alternative to cloth cover.
For smaller seedling containers, pick out seeds from fruit to plant.
Cut 1-2 ripe tomatoes into slices
Fill pot with soil and place slices inside
Cover slices completely with fine layer of soil
Keep soil moist
Seedlings may take up to 2 weeks to grow.
Then they can be transplanted into bigger pots or outside.
(Optional) Soak beans overnight before bag planting to sprout easier.
Materials: plastic bag, small handful of beans, paper towel.
Dampen a paper towel and put inside the bag.
Place 4 - 6 beans inside the bag against wet paper towel. Tape bag to window.
Once leaves and roots sprout, move to soil and pot. Keep the leaves above the soil.
Cut pepper in half, remove seeds.
Put 4 - 6 seeds on top of soil, then push them down slightly and cover.
Water seeds and cover with plastic bag.
