How do we set our targets and priorities?
Our rigorous monitoring and evaluation programme is the cornerstone of continuous school improvement, incorporating a multi-faceted approach that gathers intelligence through analysis of data, lesson visits, scrutiny of children's work, and direct conversations with children. We also consult with key stakeholders, including parents, via our annual survey. All findings are formally presented to the School Improvement Committee or the full Governing Body, directly informing and shaping the Development Plan. The resulting key priorities are then given the most attention in terms of staff training and development time. Furthermore, dedicated staff working groups are assigned to each priority to collaboratively plan whole-school activities and provide timely progress feedback to all staff and the Senior Leadership Team.
