You have all day on Thursday to submit your requests (the request window closes at 11:59PM local time). All you have to do is:
Open up Gopuff Driver
Go to Schedule
Check out all of the available blocks for the following week (you can take your time!)
Click on any block you’d like to request that you are willing and able to work
Swipe right to Request Hours
A green banner will pop up letting you know you’ve successfully requested that block
After you’ve submitted your requests, you’re all set until Friday!
While you can request as many blocks as you’d like (even if those blocks are overlapping), we ask – out of fairness to other drivers and customers – that you only request blocks you are willing and able to work. On Friday, the system will not give you 2 blocks that directly conflict with one another.
Please note that the system will not assign any single driver over 40 hours per week.
Ensuring that you are on-time to all of your scheduled shifts, and working the entire block from start-to-finish will give you the highest chance of getting your preferred time slots for future weeks.
One of the goals of this system is to give more drivers a chance at getting a desired delivery block. Oftentimes, there will be more than one person who requests the same block. When this happens, the system will prioritize the people who consistently show up for a higher percentage of their committed time over the preceding 4 weeks.
It's important to understand that you may not get 100% of the shifts you request on Thursday.
There are a few factors to keep in mind when requesting delivery blocks:
Keep in mind the highly desired times and how many other people have requested those blocks.
How has my attendance been over the previous 4 weeks?
Am I requesting a variety of time slots in case someone else gets priority over me?
Out of fairness to other W2 Drivers at your site(s), no single driver will be assigned over 40 hours for the upcoming week.
Anyone wishing to work more than 40 hours will need to obtain approval from their site leader and claim any available blocks after Friday, where they will be First Come, First Serve.
Nope! As long as you get your requests in before 11:59PM local time on Thursday, you’re good to go. When distributing blocks, the system does not factor in what time the requests were made or who requested a particular block first. Any delivery blocks that are still available after the request period will be re-released on Fridays and can be picked up on a first-come, first-served basis.
Yes, W2 Drivers need to have a scheduled block to receive orders or they may be asked to clock out and leave the facility.
Efforts to log in unscheduled at a W2 Driver site will result in disciplinary action, per the attendance policy that was sent out to all W2 Drivers. If you have any questions about how to obtain the policy please reach out to W2support@gopuff.com.
Yes, W2 Drivers are held to an attendance policy that can be found in your Driver Guide.
If you need to locate the policy, it can be found in your Workday profile with the steps listed below:
The policy will be located in your Workday inbox as a red notification if you have not acknowledged the policy previously.
If you have already acknowledged the policy, it can be viewed again at any time with the instructions below in the Workday mobile app:
1) Tap the top right profile icon
2) Tap View Profile
3) Scroll down and you'll see Job, Compensation, Benefits
4) Tap More
5) You should see Personal and tap there
6) You should see a document section
7) Tap Documents
8) This is where you can find the Driver Guide and Attendance Policy
Don't worry! Delivery blocks will also become available as other drivers choose to drop them. You can opt-in to receive notifications in the Gopuff Driver app if you'd like to be made aware when delivery blocks are dropped for your location.
Great question! The answer is no. The system will not give priority to drivers who have gotten more hours. Instead, it will look at the percentage of your committed hours you showed up for. A driver who has gotten 10 hours in the past 4 weeks and showed up for 100% of those hours will be in a similar position as a driver who got 40 hours and showed up for all of them.
We get it, life happens! However, if this continues to happen and your absence(s) have not been excused by your manager, per the Attendance Policy, disciplinary action will be issued, up to and including possible termination of employment.
Drivers who consistently work a high percentage of their blocks are more likely to get one or more of their requested blocks. On the flip side, drivers who consistently fail to show up for those blocks without dropping them 24 hours ahead of time are less likely to get a requested block, particularly when there is competition for those time periods.
We get it, plans change! If you know you are unable to work the entire delivery block, be sure to drop the block at least 24 hours prior to the shift starting.
If you are no longer able to work a scheduled delivery block, please drop it at least 24 hours in advance so that another driver can pick it up. Waiting until the last minute to drop your delivery block can take earning opportunities away from other drivers. Waiting less than 24 hours to drop your delivery block can take earning opportunities away from other drivers and is in violation of your attendance policy agreement.

The 24-hour request window closes at 11:59PM local time on Thursday. On Friday morning, our system will process all the requests and automatically generate a schedule.
You will get a notification on Friday when the schedule is ready for you to view. Drivers who did not submit any requests will not receive this notification, because they won’t have any blocks to view. However, everyone will receive a notification in the event that one of their locations has unrequested blocks that become available on a first-come, first-served basis.
