The Trip Offer Screen

Decision-making, simplified

Your Trip Offer provides helpful information about your trip so you can make an informed decision about whether or not you want to accept it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a trip offer and what does it include?

Your Trip Offer includes key information about that particular trip, such as how much you’ll earn (before tip), the number of deliveries, the estimated trip duration and the distance to the final drop-off location. You’ll be able to view all of this information upfront before you decide to accept or reject the offer.

How are earnings calculated in the Trip Offer?

Each Trip Offer is based on the estimated time and distance to complete that trip - from the point of pickup to successful drop off. The system is designed to take into account various factors outside of partners’ control that impact their ability to make deliveries quickly. Some of these factors include real-time weather conditions, traffic patterns, road closures, and the extra time it takes to deliver a regulated product (if applicable).

What should I do if I don’t want to take the trip offered to me?

You have the ability to accept or reject trip offers directly from the Gopuff Driver app. Clicking the “X” in the upper left hand corner will reject the trip, at which point you will be moved to the back of the queue while you wait for your next offer.

Can I reject  a part of a trip without rejecting the full trip?

No. When you reject an offer, you are rejecting all of the orders associated with that trip.

How is the system estimating how long it will take for a trip to be completed?

The time estimate for a given trip includes picking up the order, the travel time to the destination, and the drop-off process. When creating the trip offer, our system considers factors outside of the delivery partner’s control such as traffic patterns, road closures, and the extra time it takes to verify a customer’s ID when delivering regulated products. In these scenarios,  the time estimate (and therefore the earnings offer) will increase accordingly.

Are customer tips reflected in the trip offer?

At this time, the trip offer does not include customer tips. Customer tips will be added after drop off. However, the trip offer will include an “average tip range.” This range is based on the national average and does not guarantee a customer tip for that trip.

If an order is canceled, will I still get paid?

If a single order in a multi-delivery trip gets canceled after you pick it up, you will still get paid the full amount from the initial trip offer. If any part of your trip gets canceled before you start scanning the order, you’ll be notified of the cancellation and can continue waiting for a new offer.

How long do I have to accept or reject a trip offer?

You will have 30 seconds to either accept or reject the offer, as indicated by the timer in the app. Once the 30 seconds is up, the offer will expire. An expired offer is considered a rejection.

Is there a limit to how many trips I can reject?

If you reject 15% or more of the offers presented to you during a scheduled block, your account will be reviewed. Any account that excessively rejects or cancels orders may also be reviewed. When reviewing account activity, various factors are considered  – such as the market in which you deliver and the frequency of rejections – when determining a course of action.

What happens if I reject a trip offer?

When you reject a trip offer, you will be moved to the back of the queue and the trip will be offered to a different delivery partner. Rejecting multiple trip offers during a scheduled block will lower your acceptance rate and increase your chance of restrictions being placed on your account. Any account that consistently rejects or cancels orders may also be reviewed.

Where can I view my acceptance rate?

You can view your acceptance rate in your Weekly Delivery Summary email that is sent each week.

How often is my acceptance rate calculated?

Your acceptance rate is calculated on a weekly basis and shared in your Weekly Delivery Summary email.

How is my acceptance rate calculated?

Your acceptance rate is calculated by taking the total number of deliveries you’ve accepted divided by the total number of trip offers you’ve received in a given week.

Why is my acceptance rate important?

Any account that consistently rejects or cancels orders may also be reviewed. Therefore, a low acceptance rate puts your account at risk, while a higher acceptance rate keeps your account in good standing so that you can continue delivering on our platform. To ensure all delivery partners receive fair earnings opportunities, please make sure you are prepared to deliver before starting your workday and end your workday promptly when you are ready to stop taking deliveries.

If I accepted a trip that I can no longer take, what should I do?

If you can no longer complete a trip you have already accepted and you’re still at the facility, please speak to an associate. If you’ve already left the facility, please contact Customer Support in your app to cancel and return the items to the facility.
