What documents do I need to apply for Gopuff?


*Those who are delivering by bike are not required to have a driver's license or vehicle insurance, but they will be required to provide a valid US Government ID.

How do I upload documents?

To upload documents – like your valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance – look for the link to continue your application which can be found in emails from notifications@fountain.com 

What makes a driver’s license or ID valid?

We accept any US-based identification card or driver’s license issued by federal, state or local government agencies or entities. Please make sure the ID or driver’s license is not expired at the time of submitting your application. An identification card, rather than a driver’s license, is accepted only for partners who will be delivering by bicycle.

What type of car insurance documents can I submit?

We accept car insurance cards, proof of payment of the policy term, car insurance declarations page, or screenshots of the car insurance information directly from the app. 

What car insurance documents do you NOT accept?

We do not accept self-insured documents, rental car insurance, business insurance, foreign insurance, or any type of insurance that is not vehicle insurance.

Do I have to be listed as the primary driver on the car insurance?

No, you can be listed as a secondary insured or as an authorized driver (i.e. on parents’ policy). However, you must provide a document that shows you are listed as an insured driver, such as a declarations page.

Do I need to provide car insurance if I am using a bicycle as a delivery method?

No, if your declared method of delivery is a bicycle, you will only need to provide a valid U.S. Government issued ID. Regardless of Gopuff’s onboarding requirements if you are using an E-Bike, check out for local regulations.

Can I use a moped to deliver for Gopuff?

In order to use a Moped or a Scooter as your mode of transportation for deliveries, we require a valid driver’s license as well as proof of vehicle insurance. Gopuff policy considers Mopeds, Motorcycles, and Scooters as vehicles.

What documents do I need to submit for the Vehicle Inspection and Registration?

In certain states, all vehicles must have a safety inspection and display an inspection sticker in order to be registered or renew their registration. If your Gopuff delivery location requires these documents, you will need to submit the following:

Can I upload a picture of my inspection sticker instead?

No. You must upload a copy of the Inspection Certificate, not the sticker.

I have a vehicle inspection certificate from a different state, can I upload that?

Each state's requirements may vary, always verify with your local DMV on your states requirements. 

Do Motorcycles or Mopeds require a vehicle inspection certificate?

Each state's requirements may vary, always verify with your local DMV on your states requirements. If Gopuff needs these documents it will be requested during the application process.

What is considered a valid Inspection certificate? 

We require an inspection certificate to include the full vehicle details. The certified vehicle shall match the vehicle on the submitted insurance documents. The inspection certificate must also show a pass or “OK” on the safety inspection. We cannot accept any inspection certificates that show any repairs or re-inspected needs.
