Project Lab Work Space
WHAT ARE THE STUDENT PROJECTS LABS?
Student project labs are several work and storage spaces reserved for teams/groups/clubs to make use of for their projects. There are several student project labs within the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences which senior design students can apply for and make use of for storage and work space.
WHY WOULD A TEAM USE THE PROJECT LABS?
Using the project labs is typically much safer and easier than hauling parts back and forth from home or trying to work in common areas. These labs also have a number of resources, tools, and utilities that teams can leverage for their projects if approved. There are also additional resources in the Equipment Crib.

ETHICAL UTILIZATION OF PROJECT LABS
Like many other resources, the project lab space is limited and valuable to the greater community of senior design and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Teams should request the resources they need within the labs and be efficient with this space. Requesting far more than is needed may impact the success of others who may be able to make use of that space later.
Teams must obey all lab rules and work with lab management if any issues are encountered to maintain safety of the lab for themselves and others.
When reasonable and not in violation of any sponsor confidentiality requirements, teams should introduce their work to those around them who are curious. This not only helps get others excited and inspired, but may help spot issues or opportunities in the team's own work.
