Students will be expected to:
1: Examine the historical development of Judaism and the role of Abraham and Moses (First and Second Covenant).
2: Examine the impact of Judaism on the Western concept of God.
3: Identify and explain the significance of the four eras: the prophets, kings, judges, and the rabbinical age.
4: Examine central beliefs of Judaism, such as, but not limited to: the oneness of God, collective responsibility, the covenants, the Messiah, the Promised Land, the significance of history.
5: Interpret excerpts from scriptures.
6: Develop an understanding of Jewish ritual and belief and how it is applied in modern communities.
