The Reception Team welcomes back all students, parents, and teachers to Term 2!

During the first week back teachers introduced the new UOI under the transdisciplinary theme, “Who We Are”. We were all excited to get to know more about ourselves and the people around us.

As a frontloading engagement, we brainstormed ideas of Who We Are and made stick puppet self-portraits that we will use throughout the unit. Our teachers shared their family photos and talked about who they are in their family and in the workplace.

We also shared our knowledge about 2D shapes by making different shapes on the carpet with our friends. It was a lot of fun and we practiced how to work collaboratively.

Our teachers know how much we love playing outside, so we went to the playground one morning to practice writing our names on the wall and counted the letters. We used our thinking skills and answered some questions afterward.

There will be a lot more engaging activities to come and we are looking forward to a great Term 2!
