3D Printing

During the RTi encrichment period, I work with a number of students in Tinkercad and SketchUp. We are exploring the processes of making simple objects such as nameplates and Escher-style tiles. In addition, the students have been using their creative energies to make more complex projects, such as chess pieces, or a set of dice. Each student not only learns how to use a CAD program, but also how to convert an .stl file into a .gx file using the FlashPrint slicing software. These students have also helped Mr. Davis by mentoring Grade 2 students with using Tinkercad.

Please note that this electronic maker class is conducted not only through guided instruction, but also allows the student ample time to explore and learn on one's own.
