Relax by watching the jellyfish in my tank, a glitter bottle, candle, or watch the snow fall on the lake through the window. Take some time to learn about bullies and send me a message by clicking on the mail in the mailbox or do a feelings check in by clicking on the poster. Most everything is clickable! Give it a try!
This week we are going to focus on feelings and ways we can deal with different feelings. All feelings are ok to have! Making sure you handle those feelings respectfully and responsibly though is important! When you click the link below, you will be asked to make a copy and then as you click through the presentation, there are parts for you to move around and questions to respond to. I hope you have fun with learning about new ways you can deal with your feelings!
Listen to the book "The Bad Seed" being read to you. It is one of my favorite books! After you listen to the story, draw a picture that shows what you think it means to be a "good seed."
This week is about emotions. We all can have lots of different emotions. Listen to the song about emotions. What emotions did you hear in the song? What other emotions do you know?
We can tell how someone is feeling by looking at their face, their facial expressions. Practice making the different faces for each emotion. Find someone to practice with, your parent, a friend, a brother/sister. See if you can tell what emotion their face is making!
Disagreements and empathy is the topic this week. Disagreements are a part of life and learning how to handle those is important. One way to handle them is to have empathy. Watch the video below about this topic.
With next week being Thanksgiving, it's a good time to think about all the things you are thankful for! Click on the link below to make your own "Thankful Turkey". I hope you enjoy!
Kindness is our focus. Listen to the book on kindness and how simple it can be to show kindness. After listening, make a goal of 3 ways you can show kindness to others this week.
It's a new year and with that comes a time that many people like to think about the last year and think about what you want to do this new year. Use the sheets below to set goals for this new year and then think back on the last year. You can have someone help you write it or draw pictures instead.
Here is a new virtual room for you to explore. Click around on the objects and if you want to send me a message click the mailbox.
See if you can complete all the activities on the choice board by the end of the week.
We are focusing on responsibility this week. Do you know what it means to be responsible? After reading the story below see if you can name 3 ways you can be responsible at school and at home.
This week our focus is self-respect and self-esteem. We are all different and unique. We all have qualities that make us special! Listen to this song and then think about what your qualities are that make you "Super" and complete one of the handouts.
