October Learning Focus

In October, we really begin to get comfortable with the classroom and each other--our routines, our school and classroom rules, and our expectations for each other. We learn what it means to be a Bucket Filler in kindergarten and we recite the Bucket Filler's Pledge. There will be an open house evening event where family members will have a chance to come visit and see what students have been doing and learning. October is a great time to start understanding the changing seasons and observing things in our environment. Leaves and pumpkins lead us to begin talking about our fall weather and holidays. It's fun to be five in October! Boo!
