Creativity, Activity & Service (CAS)
At GESS, Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) is more than just a core requirement of the IB Diploma Programmeβitβs an opportunity for students to develop personally, explore their passions, and make a meaningful impact on their community. Through a variety of engaging experiences, students cultivate key skills such as leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility.
π Creativity β Engaging in artistic and innovative pursuits, such as music, drama, photography, graphic design, and creative writing.
π Activity β Taking part in physical and wellness activities, including sports teams, personal fitness challenges, yoga, and outdoor expeditions.
π Service β Contributing to the community through volunteer work, sustainability projects, and partnerships with local and global organizations.
At GESS, CAS is student-driven and tailored to individual interests. With one-on-one support from CAS coordinators, students design and manage their own CAS experiences while maintaining a portfolio on ManageBac to track progress and reflections. Our students have led impactful projects such as organizing charity fundraisers, initiating environmental campaigns, and collaborating with NGOs to drive positive change.
CAS at GESS is a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and real-world engagement, ensuring that students graduate as well-rounded individuals ready to make a difference.
