Where do you go for help? Most campuses have resources students can use for help in anything including homework, career building, personal wellness, and more. But the thing is, not every student is aware of these resources. I am going to be listing four resources you can use at Georgia Southern.
1) Academic success center- The ASC offers free tutoring, success skills workshops, and computer assistance. Its a great way to jumpstart the way to achieving your goals.
2) Financial Aid- Federal student aid from ED covers such expenses as tuition and fees, housing and food, books and supplies, and transportation. Aid can also help pay for other related expenses, such as a computer and dependent care. It can take the form of grants or scholarships as well.
3) Occupational outlook handbook- The Occupational Outlook Handbook provides information on what workers do, the work environment, education, training, and other qualifiations; pay; the job outlook and information on state and area data.
4) Student accessibility resource center- . Access and accommodations ensure equal opportunity for students with disabilities to participate in all of the programs, activities and services designed to transform students into global citizens. It is responsible for assisting students in the implementation of accommodations for which they are eligible. It ensures that students with conditions affecting their access to academics, classrooms, buildings, housing, or any other aspect of campus life have an equal opportunity to participate as any other student.
