Want to keep your money safely online and avoid fraud? Here are some tips I have for you.
1)Do not open suspicious messages, emails, or even phone calls. That is the easiest way that people get scammed. They can act like they are from a company that you are familiar with or have. They sometimes ask you to "verify" certain information such as social security or anything like that.
2) Stop and talk to someone you trust. If you're unsure of something and suspect it could be a scam, talk to a friend or family member or any trusted person you know. It could save you from fraud or even assure you of something being credible
3) Never share personal information. As I brought up in the first one, never give out information such as social security, birthday, credit card information ect. It protects you from identity theft. Even if it is at your door do not fall for the tricks and give them such information.
These are just some tips that can save you in the future and now. Scammers are clever and ruthless and will do whatever to get your personal information. So just be careful and pay attention.
