[ UNDERGRADUATE ]
Overview: The ARC provides in-person appointments primarily for traditional undergraduates. Zoom appointments are available if necessary. If you want to require ARC appointments for student writing assignments, email the_arc@georgefox.edu to make arrangements. We want to coordinate timing and student numbers to ensure we have capacity. Student support staff can visit classes to provide students with an overview of ARC services. Math and Sciences have their own help labs.
Overview: If you have incoming undergraduate students, you will receive an Early Progress Check email toward the end of the third week of each semester. There is a Textbook Assistance Fund for undergraduate students. For more information, visit the Student Support Network page.
[ GRADUATE ]
Portland Writing Center (PWC) website
Overview: The PWC primarily uses Zoom writing consultations with an option for asynchronous feedback. The center focuses on graduate and GFC students; if desired, these students may schedule in-person appointments with the ARC (on the Newberg campus).
The Student Life Office has put together an incredible resource at a glance for faculty working with students who could be struggling. If you're not sure who to call or contact, you can start with this guide.
Need help or ideas? Contact Rick Muthiah (rmuthiah@georgefox.edu) if you have questions, clarifications, or ideas for improvement.
